The former president of International Association of School Librarianship, Dr. Blanche Wolls appealed to organize the International School Library Day in 1999. It was held on 18 October, 1999. From 2008, October is the International School Library Month. They would like to call students, teachers, parents and presses' attention to school libraries with the events of this day in schools all around the world. This programme is also supported by the European Union. Our school library has also joined this campaign with organizing of several interesting activities.
